Many of my best friends have been my teammates, whether on IEA or on show teams. We support each other through all of the wins and losses, and the practices and early and late shows. Since many shows involve travelling to remote places, showing is sometimes like one big sleepover. And we spend so much time with our teammates that we get to know who is a morning person and who isn’t, and even what everyone likes on their pizza! Some of my best conversations have been in tack rooms, and my teammates have been the ones to encourage me when I have a bad day and applaud me when I have a good day, and I am there for them.
